Descriptions by Todd Howe

Early Innovation

In 1953, this would be an average race day at Paradise Mesa drag strip in southern California. You would find a group of racers trying out new
ideas, winning races and setting records. The group is the legendary "Bean Bandits" lead by Joaquin Arnett. And the car they're working on is
the first two-engine dragster. It featured 2 1939 Mercury flathead engines, a 236 and a 275. This car was able to compete in six different classes, just by disconnecting the front engine. The Bean Bandits hold the distinction of winning the very first NHRA championship. Not bad for a bunch of guys just out for a little fun!

Hot Rodding from the past comes to life in the latest painting from Todd Howe. "4th Street Garage" takes you back to a place in the neighborhood where all the rodders met & exchanged mechanical wisdom and planned the night ahead. Signed and numbered by the artist.

Injected

I saw a picture that was taken of this view between the injectors. I thought it was very cool image so I put my twist on it and came up with
this. Its a "could be anybody" shot of a junior fueler.

The Pharoahs

This is another painting from my all time favorite movie. This one features Bo Hopkins as "Joe" and the Pharaohs. Their 50 Merc is one of
the most popular cars in the movie and one of the coolest cars of all time. As Jerry's Cherry lurks in the shadows, The Pharaohs have a surprise of their own waiting for him! Signed by artist and Bo Hopkins.

Woody

When I think of the beach, I think of long boards, hot sun & Woodys. I did this painting over the summer. I would be sitting at one of my favorite lunch spots at Mission Beach in San Diego, and I would get inspired watching all the people and occasionally I would see a Woody drive through the parking lot. I saw that to be the pure essence of the beach experience. Signed and numbered by the artist. "Surfs up!".
